At MBKU, College of Pharmacy applicants have the opportunity to gain firsthand exposure to the profession through shadowing experiences in a variety of clinical settings. These experiences are designed to help students better understand the evolving role of pharmacists and explore different paths within pharmacy practice.

Applicants may observe pharmacists in infectious disease, psychiatric, and ambulatory care settings. From hospital-based antimicrobial stewardship and interdisciplinary case discussions to inpatient psychiatric medication management and team-based care in a family medicine clinic, each experience offers a closer look at how pharmacists contribute to patient outcomes across diverse healthcare environments.

These shadowing opportunities provide valuable insight into real-world pharmacy practice can help applicants make a more informed decision about their future in the field.
